Christopher Partridge, HND, DipArb L4, M.ArborA Principal Consultant & Managing Director
Christopher Partridge is a highly experienced arboricultural consultant with over two decades of professional practice spanning the public, private, and international sectors. His career has progressed from hands‑on operational arboriculture to senior consultancy and leadership roles, giving him a uniquely comprehensive understanding of tree management, risk, legislation, and client needs.
As Managing Director of Viking Tree Consultants, Christopher provides specialist consultancy services to local authorities, multinational organisations, landowners, and private clients. He is regularly contracted as a locum Tree Officer, supporting authorities including Bracknell Forest Council, West Oxfordshire District Council, Somerset Council, Wychavon District Council, Gosport Borough Council, and Hampshire County Council. His work covers planning consultations, BS5837 assessments, tree risk management, TPO/CA casework, and strategic policy development.
Technical Expertise & Professional Credentials
Christopher is a Registered QTRA User, a Lantra‑qualified Professional Tree Inspector, and an Arboricultural Association Professional Member (M.ArborA). His technical expertise includes GPS‑based surveying, risk modelling, usage zoning, and the use of leading industry software such as Confirm, Uniform, Esri, Arb Evolve, EzyTreev, Otiss and Arbortrac.
His earlier career includes senior operational management roles in Germany and the Czech Republic, overseeing high‑profile veteran tree projects, emergency works, and large‑scale forestry operations. This operational grounding underpins his pragmatic, defensible approach to consultancy and client advice.
Christopher is recognised for his clear communication, strong leadership, and ability to translate complex arboricultural issues into practical, defensible solutions for clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
